Forgot where these trims go...

I have replacee my headliner, hence all the trims and windshields are out. These 2 rubber parts comes from a-pillar area or front headlining trim. One on each side. I just cant remember where they should go. Anyone recognize them? Thanks. http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/ll14/uber2uber2/Mobile%20U...

Headlining variations

Im looking for headlining for a 1988 car witout sunroof. The headlining is velour and beige.

Item 51441929259: list as beige velour up to 87/6.

Any reason why it should not fit a later version car?
Am I correct in assuming that 51441929259 is for a car without sunroof?

Thanks!

Well Greg, Have already been there once, that time a bumpertrim for world bumper that was too short. No answers, nobody who took responsibility. Its like going up against the pope. At best BMW would tell you: go buy from someone else! There is really no other options if you want a new fender. Other ...

So here is a description of the built in fault in the new OEM fenders. The fender consists of 2 plates that are welded toghether, in Sweden we call it point-welding = ERW. About 200mm from the A-pillar end the plates 1&2 "separate" from each other. Its very visible once you hold the fe...

In this case the fender is OEM directly from germany. They dont want to know about the issue. The old fender was damaged in a parking accident, shame as it was rust free. Its were the 2 parts (side vs. Top plate) are point soldered together, where you can find the built in error. The parts for thems...

So there is no use in ordering a new one again? Any way to rectify this?

The only solution I can come up with is to drill out 3-4 spot welds and re-align were the 2 parts meet.

Thanks!

Problem with front wing/fender - solved with solution!

I have a problem with a new OEM front wing. The A-pillar end differs by 3mm. Hence it does stick up ~3mm at the A-pillar end. Yes! You may be on to something.
I have checked all the vacuum hoses and some were very suspect.
So I ordered all the necessary vacuum hoses, and hopefully at the weekend I will have some time changing them.

Idle control valve problem.

The car runs somewhat uneven at idle startup. Motronic 1.1/1.3 Following bentley and http://www.malloc.nl/BMW/635CSi/pages/en/1341000a.html#refertoc I have found an issue with the icv. When doing the "dynamic" test the valve closes all up instead up halfways. The ecu is fine and wiring bet...

Once again Brucey, thanks for the very insightful inputs. The specs of the rear spring is from Dinan themselves. Fwiw the turn stop and ending need to be at same "o?clock" as the original because part #33521109689 has fixed spring positioning (the dinans are). I will post some pictures of ...

Thanks for the reply Brucey. So this is really good information, you have really given this some thinking. Fwiw it has kept me awake the whole weekend. I have looked at the bumpstop for the rear. Based on its anatomy best way of shortening as I see it, dissect a piece of the midsection and reglue it...
