i second the need to beef up the diff mount, my 81 633 as i bought it was stock with a automatic and it still had a couple cracks in the body, 200 more hp and a stick will rip out the mount/trunk floor and slap the diff on the ground

i built the car as such and have no before/after impression, however a modern honeycomb converter with a nice amount of surface area is not going to restrict a street car to any significant degree. the whole chop the cat off and gain a meaningful amount of power comes from the awful pellet converter...

e34 m5s and v8/v12 e32s have the bearings, everything else has rubber trailing arm bushings you need to shim the abs sensors out as the mounting and sensor style changes on the newer cars http://i792.photobucket.com/albums/yy201/wdixon27/EBFD0A5C-E232-40F2-BF24-F6088C4D0E32-13049-00000F4423CB2EE0.jp...

m6 brakes kinda suck and i never bothered fixing mine from the m635 parts car, e34s are a small upgrade and e32s are another step up, i have the step beyond that with e31 brembo's in the front and v8/v12 e32 rears (requires the use of the trailing arms) http://i792.photobucket.com/albums/yy201/wdixo...

trx's install/dismount with any standard tire machine, done it many times with a completely slap worn out coats center post and a slightly worn out rim clamp machine did 390s and 415s like any other tire

you just need to choose mods carefully and be honest with the purpose of the car, i really don't care about weight savings as thats a race car thing. i have the beer cooler rear ac which makes e24 ac useful on the gulf coast, and 16" wheels aren't too bad and only a little bigger then the trx's...

an 83 shouldn't have abs, that came in around 85. i don't see why it couldn't be installed but you'd need both front struts and the rear control arms, the entire braking system and the intact harness/sensors i've not done a abs system retro but i suspect its just a more complicated version of instal...

i pulled the last set on my shark at around 10 years old, you will notice eventually they will get hard, hopefully it won't result in a tweaked nose like mine in a panic stop that shouldn't have been a problem

Re: Now it's a radiator problem

neat idea, http://www.evanscooling.com/ long story short is it has a super high boiling point so it remains in contact and transfers heat when you really need it unlike water OK, I'll ask the proverbial stupid question. What in the heck is "waterless coolant"? I always thought coolant was ...

so far they are great on the m635 but a couple weeks does not a thorough test make, but they are not some shitty mister tire brand like most of the 245/45s are and are made in japan which i have had good luck with

to run high concentrations of alcohol you need rubber in the system that can handle it, not sure if you can get away with just changing all fuel lines or if ya need to get into injector o-rings, fuel pressure regulator and fuel tank sender o-rings

two cores with a air space is common, not sure about how to find a good core buyer in CA, they find us as a shop, had a buddy in memphis that could just take em to the local scrap place and get a good price but with thefts of converters being common i don't know how things have evolved on the outside

if you have a drill and about $35 for can make a lock tool, use the crank pulley as a template for a piece of 1/4" or 3/16" steel that can be had from lowes or home depot, the hole to clear the bolt in the center is a hardest part and easiest done with a hole saw but i suppose you could dr...
