good morning,
the blue one is mine, it resides at his place, when I retire this year it will become a project to bring itself back to what it once was, I have owned it for over 20 years and drove it all but the last 2/3 years, mechanicals are fine except for brakes, new interior and a paint job will bring it back, it will take some time but I will have plenty of time

'82 is the bastard child year for 6ers

Post by GRNSHRK »

This was considered the "changeover" model year, with Motronic engine management under the hood, but still possessing the E12 chassis underpinnings, interior, and even the older vacuum based braking system as well :-?

Station105, E12 was the chassis designation for the first 5 series and the original or "series I" 6ers were based on the E12 chassis as well, with most major components exchanging between the 2 [-o<

Cosmetics, of course, did not [-X

No it is E28-based. E12-based cars finished around 5/82. All "M" E24s are E28-based.
They are ALWAYS rustier than you thought!!!!!!
