That episode lived on my DVR for a long time. The guy who owned the blue 635 used to be a member of this forum but haven't seen him post in a while. He said Mike Brewer drove the hell out of his car the entire day.
They did a follow up episode about the car and its new owner too.

Yeah, it's STILL on my DVR. :D Watched it again just a couple of weeks ago. Ol' Mike finds some pretty good deals, and the car he bought for the "leatha" interior and wheel swap for the red 635 was one of them.

How old is this episode though?

Prices have gone up a lot since then!

I really enjoy the show, wish stuff was still around at that price.

Somewhere around 8 years old!

Ed China doesn't improve though. He still puts the old rusty nuts and bolts back in and, did you notice in the 635 episode, that he changed a lot of the front suspension and then tightened everything up with the wheels in the air!!
They are ALWAYS rustier than you thought!!!!!!

+1 Ron

I also think it's curious why they never figure in Edd's labor rate when calculating project cost; he must be indentured.

Always interesting to watch WDs :P

If every car dealer worked on Mike's profit margins, they'd soon be bankrupt

True, However they did start to create fairly nice returns on investment i.e. the 2002 Tii. Great episode if you haven't seen it already. As an owner of a fuel injected 2002, it was fascinating to see the interior components of the Kugelfischer system.

That episode is the reason I purchased my 633.

I'd never been interested in BMW's, but thought they were always nice cars. One night I woke up, couldn't go back to sleep and started watching TV. I'd never seen Wheelers Dealers, but watched that one episode and really liked the lines of the 6-series. I then started doing tireless research and about (2) months later bought my 6. Never seen another episode of WD, but have that one episode to blame for all of this.

If you were watching WD right now in England, you'd be wanting to buy a DeLorean

The purchaser at the end of the episode sold it to a new chap whom the WD caught up with at a car show. Of course Edd asked if the car was still running well and it was. The new owner wanted a more stock look and removed the front strut brace or as Brewer called it "engine bling."

Just watched it again! The MOT expired February 2015. I presume the car still exists, but wonder if the current owner is known on this Forum :-k

I like the Salvage Hunters Classic Cars one - nice inspirational fodder in the throes of my project restoration!
