M88/3 oil filter

Yes it's time for an oil change. Does the M88/3 engine use its own specific oil filter or is it the same as the M30?

Seems like it's the same used throughout a whole lot of cars and engines. M30, M88/3, S38 even.

I can confirm that M30, S38, M88 use the same filter. Although the S30/M88 filter housing is unique and HARD to find if you damage it. Be very careful bolting things back up. My M6 had an M30 housing when I got it, as my brother (he is the PO) didn't align things carefully after an oil change and damaged the original housing. Although it's good to know that in a pinch it is possible to use the M30 housing, and now I have an emergency spare.

Cheers guys. Oil changes are needed so having an easy to get filter sounds nice and simple.
