Help Reqd! Need pictures of your M635 on BBS RS
Hi all,
Photos of M635CSi on BBS RS alloy wheels required.
I'm researching a project currently, and despite extensive web trawling I'm having huge difficulty correctly visualising the difference between 16", 415mm, or 17" wheels fitted to these cars. Can you help? I would REALLY appreciate images of M635s, with standard/stock suspension, wearing either of the following...
Original unmodified BBS RS 16" (e.g. RS021, 022, 211 etc)
Original unmodified BBS RS 17" (e.g. RS197, 198, 075, 212 etc)
(Images of cars on RS007,the 415mm TRX, wheel, are easily found so I don't require those.)
So if you have any pictures of a suitably shod M635Csi which you know to have unmodified suspension, then I would be extremely grateful if you could post it on here. If you are able to state which RS variant is shown(or width and offset), along with tyre sizes, that would be even better!
Thanks in advance!

Aaron (M6smitten) probably has the photos you are after.
Here's a couple M6's, with his on BBS RS211.
A couple more photos: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=22694&p=160260#p160260
I believe he lowered it after 2013. Correct me if I'm wrong...

Re: Help Reqd! Need pictures of your M635 on BBS RS
When u say original and Unmidified I'm in trouble. My bbs rs were originally for e36 (17x8 et 40 (model 302)).
They currently have a 2" lip and 20mm spacer in the front and a 3" lip and 12mm spacer on the rear. So specs are
17x9 et7 with 225/45 tires
17x10 et2 with 255/40 tires.
My guards are Unmidified and there is plenty if room for the slighly stretched tires to fit. It's pretty tight to the front inner strut. I tried the 12mm spacers on the front but only had about 1mm clerance which would be too marginal in hard cornering.

Re: Help Reqd! Need pictures of your M635 on BBS RS
Thanks GazM3 - I have long admired your car, simply love the stance.
Your modified wheels are not exactly what I am looking for, but this is a great example of my inability to accurately identify an wheels diameter, as I could have sworn your car rode on 18" wheels.
tshultz - Thanks for the M6smitten tip, just what I'm looking for. From what I can gather, Aaron has run both RS211s and RS007s. I'll drop him a PM.
I would still greatly appreciate any other images or pointers any body else might be able to offer.

Re: Help Reqd! Need pictures of your M635 on BBS RS
Thanks Kos, that's one hell of a good looking E24.
But what I really need are snaps of an M635, on standard/stock suspension, with 16" or 17" original un-modded BBS RS alloys.
Anybody?

Cheers
Your best bet is to look up images of the blue M635csi in the BMW museum.
It's on the BBS metric split rims

Re: Help Reqd! Need pictures of your M635 on BBS RS
I appreciate the suggestion Kos but as I mentioned earlier, photos of the blue M635CSi found in the Munich museum (and other period images of press cars on these metric 415mm RS007s) are easy to come by. So that box was ticked long ago.
What I specifically need now are snaps of either BBS RS 16" (e.g. RS021, 022, 211 etc.) or BBS RS 17" (e.g. RS197, 198, 075, 212 etc.) mounted on a stock M635.

Re: Help Reqd! Need pictures of your M635 on BBS RS
That's beautiful Sharkfan, but your wheels are BBS RC and not RS. Therefore they're not quite what I'm looking for. Nonetheless thank you very much for taking the time and trouble to post those images.

Re: Help Reqd! Need pictures of your M635 on BBS RS
Right wheels (16" BBS RS 211s) on the wrong car, but the suspension mods do help to balance that out, so that has been helpful.
Thanks for the pointer, Kos.
Any further help still gratefully received, especially for stock M635s fitted with BBS RS 17"

Re: Help Reqd! Need pictures of your M635 on BBS RS
Your cars are looking fabulous as always Ron, and thank you for these images, but those are 17" BBS RC and not the BBS RS I'm specifically looking for.
Hope you're well - I'm still interested in those other two smaller items by the way!

Do a search for Vinneys (2I6ES)posts on LOCUTUS. I still have those 16" BBS RS007s in storage BTW. Am now running 17" BBS RC090s.

Re: Help Reqd! Need pictures of your M635 on BBS RS
I may have what you are looking for. These are a couple photos from shortly after I got the car, about 5 years ago. At the time, the entire wheel was painted a silver (silly PO). I have since refinished them to be "more correct" (polished lips, no clear). Anyways, they are RS005 and RS006 (true 16") wheels on stock suspension.

MinneapM635 - That's great, just the sort of stuff I'm looking for. Really appreciate your help.
Baders - Thoughtful of you, and whilst most of the pictures posted by 216ES aren't visible any more, I did find one.
So thanks to all you gentlemen, I've gathered a few shots of M635s on 16" BBS RS.
I've also found another couple of images on this forum from an Australian (ex ?) member called JamesB who owns/owned chassis 0760085 and fitted 17" BBS RS198s onto it.
Now all I'm really looking for now is a stock M635 with 17" BBS RS212 and/or RS075s.
