Help identify my wheel

Post by ElPasoBob »

Hello, new shark owner here, just trying to sort out what I have and how to remove the wheel. It seems similar to a style 5 but just a bit different. I also need a tool to remove the center cap as the car did not come with one, any idea which tool would work with this wheel? The car is a 1986 635csi.

Site showing BMW wheels with their data, pictures and the cars they came on: It's in German, but with the pictures, it doesn't matter much.

Looks like they may be style 7's ??

Thanks guys, yep looks like the style 7 is what it is. Can't say I'm a fan of the look but I've seen worse I guess, will be looking for replacement wheels before too long (or a good deal pops up on craigslist).

They are a metric wheel from an e34

Tyre size was 230/55/390 and usually Dunlop

Sure look like the wheels on my 1993 740il E32. I use one of those skinnny brushes to clean the ribs.

In regards to the tool, I'm sure any BBS hex cap can be used. Mine has worked with several different BMW BBS wheels.

The wheels shown are an inch-size as evident from the fitted tire.

I have never seen that wheel in anything other than a metric size, must be a European thing

Listed on the ETK as metric wheel too for EU cars but as a 15" option over the pond

Here they are in all their metric glory on an e34
