Re: Air Conditioning
Dale, Happy to report that I have managed to change the switch! Tried doing it on my own, but i cheated a little as i was getting a little stuck on the removal of the panel. I rationalised with myself to enlist the help of my regular air condition mechanic and did a service of my compressor and topp...

Dale, Finally go to the electronic store and got the micro switches… there was a generic one for about S$2.50 but for the exact item i had to find a shop which would order it for me at $5 (bottom one in the pic) D6484A12-95A4-461B-8AC1-90E51550E0E3.jpeg Now i have to try to figure out how to remove ...

Re: Air Conditioning
Hi Dale, I have been experiencing this problem too. The heater blower works most times, but when turning it to cold air, the blower doesn’t function all the time, it needs a bit of switching it back and forth and fiddling for the cool air blower to start… Mine is a 1981 RHD car Here is a pic of the ...

Re: Door seal
Hey Austin, I got help from my regular garage with it and they managed to squeeze it in… they needed to keep the doors shut for a week to heve the seals settle… now I still need quite a bit of effort to close the doors… the left side is quite air tight… bit the right side has some air coming in… I t...

Re: 82-89 centre tie rod; a RHD problem?
HI jps635,
Thanks for the input… will definitely try to find a place that can help rebuild ball joints with the correct pre-loads… is there any specifications for the preload?
Meanwhile i will be trying to source for a replacement as well so that i can work on the existing worn one.
Thanks

Re: 82-89 centre tie rod; a RHD problem?
Hi Bruce and all, Thanks for this post, although it is an old post its an issue I’m facing right now. I had 2 centre tie rods replaced and each lasted no more then 1000km before rattling. I have a 1981 RHD car, based on realoem the part number that need for the centre tie-rod is 32211108081 or 32211...

Thanks Tommy,
Do you have any pics to share so I don’t misinterpret this.
I’m also wondering where the seal sits
My problem is that I can’t seem to close the door
Thanks

Hey Pete,
I know this is an old post, but I’m desperate for some pointers.
You said to cut the channel by 1/2 inch….
Did you manage to post some photos somewhere for this installation? Can you point me to them or share them across.
Thanks in advance!
Colin

Door rubber seals
Hi experts, I am aiming to replace my door seals as the current ones are original and a little worn. I ordered a set from Wallothnesh which arrived in good order. Also realised the current seals are “upgraded/improved” to give better soundproofing. Then I realised it was quite hard to install. I hav...

Hi, I’m facing the exact same issue.... Just happened again recently. Not sure what needs to be done for it to get the clock to move. When the 1.00 display is on, it can’t be adjusted. Just air of hangs. Also haven’t figured out how to remove the clock. I’ll be following the thread. As I would appre...

Looking for missing parts in the toolkit
Hi I’m looking for the missing stuff in my toolkit. I’ve think there are 4 missing pieces. Maybe more. Not sure what they are and if they are still available or if anyone has spares.
Interested to complete the set.
Looking forward advice or if anyone has spares to sell.
Thank you

Re: Flasher / Indicator / turn signal intermittent: possibly a relay issue?
Thanks hornhospital… I did further checks… the relay looked quite new… and when checking back on my receipts for work done, i realised that I had a new one put in when i first acquired the car and got issues fixed… the signals were a little intermittent then as well i believe… This was about a year ...
