Re: Strong exhaust fumes smell
Thanks for your comments guys! [-o< I think it would be a good idea to give it a try with a new catalytic converter. Also because of the fact that the car now emits much more than necessary. There is now a Magnaflow under my car (see photo below), as mentioned, it is completely empty. The same model...

Strong exhaust fumes smell SOLVED
My car is driving very well, but I start to bother with the rather strong exhaust fumes that always hangs around the car when I have driven it. You can smell the fumes everywhere around the car. The car does not smoke (no blue, black or white smoke). Sometimes it is more than other times, but you al...

Re: Conforti chip...thumbs up
Sounds great, checked their website and they also supply it for my engine type.
Anybody installed this chip in a (1987) US model M30B34 (182 bhp)?
Would like to know if that is as good as the one on Emac's M6.

Re: No tach
Did you remove the cluster for inspection?
Perhaps the batteries have leaked.
My tach/mpg didn't work a while ago, cause was corrosion on the metal pins that connect it to the board.
But as you are having multiple issue I would also think your board is damaged.

Re: Rear aircon unit for UK car
That's an adventurous plan!
If I were you I would look up your car and a US model from the same year on bmwfans.info and compare the components.
You can still get quite some parts at BMW, but not everything.

Re: New member - Could you help me with my cars history?
I don't think it will be that, they put is back exactly 100K, they drove only a few miles in the few days between the recordings. Well if the motor was maintained well, they can run a lot more as I have heard, so that's a good thing! Are there no maintenance sticker on the windscreen or in the doors...

Re: New member - Could you help me with my cars history?
Welcome here, looks nice your E24. I am not from Sweden but a lot closer to you than most guys on this forum. :-) It looks like just before the car was exported, the speedometer seems to have been turned back 100,000 miles. From 216K to 116K. Or is that a mistake in the Carfax report? Have yo...

Re: My aftermarket exhaust is too loud!
Guys, just wanted to let you know that welding in this E34 silencer worked out pretty good.
The noise is reduced by some dB's making it much better.
It still isn't a quite car, but now it is just fine, not so loud anymore.

That is also a good idea to cut the bumper instead of cutting out the top cover plate.
End result looks very good, well done!
I see you also used the Euro Highline model license plate holder.

Re: No start / now intermittent start 633CSi
Hoi Stephan,
Have you also tried to start the car again with the original ECU? Are you sure it's broken?
My first guess would be it's a bad contact, maybe a plug connection that makes bad contact. I would at least clean the plugs.
