Song, IMO $50 well worth it, I had mine and was charge $75. I haven't been able to reassemble the seats as I can't locate my notes as to the sequence of the washers to mount the back to the bottom. If you have photos or the sequence of that area please post.
Thanks, Roger

Very nice, nice touch for the hand strap. My interior is still a work in progress. Photo of buffalo leather rear seats, Havanna Brown.

Throttle Gattor replacement
From the numerous photos I've looked at I've noticed many of our cars have the throttle cable rubber gattor missing or damaged. I purchased BMW part 32732325866. The part is not listed as compatible with the M30 engine, however, it worked perfectly. I hope this assists other enthusiasts. The details...

Hi Mike, your response jogged my memory, the photo I posted is from a 11/86 built 635. I replaced my 89 cover (center hole only) with it as it was falling.

Re: WTB: Spare tire cover
Mine has some damage and I plan on having one made. Deciding which material to use, lauan plywood would work, however, I would prefer a higher grade plywood. Need to visit a lumber yard soon. Then to paint.

I can't help with the alignment. I just received my car back after a respray, Bonnet is aligned, however, the bonnet bump stops were not installed which prevent the bonnet from hitting the car.

Back from restoration
It has been quite a long time!!! Finally, the car has been delivered. I'll post additional photos/comments when organized. The interior still needs to be finished and installed.
I'll be attending the Vintage and hope to meet several members.

Use a windshield sealant, you'll have to smooth the material (let it set up somewhat) around the wires, etc. Yeh, it can be messy, go slow.

Re: E24 Rocker Panel Color. Help!
I just went through the same decision. Keep the rocker panels same color as the car. My car is a 89 635CSIA, built 11/88 and just finished the respray. I received progress photos from the shop and noticed the rockers were not painted black. I discussed this with the shop. It's their opinion the blac...

Fill it to 10 mm below the top rim. You may want to change the filter and add a magnetic.
Search TECH TIPS, for addition info. I would go with Dexron IV (from memory) as recommended by BMW. Roger

Re: What did you do to your E24 today?
Bumper/valance/rubbers assembled and installed on the car. The shop painted the used licence plate center rubber to clean it up. Does anyone know of a better matching black paint that would match/blend with the color of the factory front bumper rubber? Or a pristine license plate center rubber. It's...

Re: BBS RC090 finish selection opinion
Hi Bert,
I believe the grub/set screw pertain to RS90 wheels, cast aluminium only. Apparently they hold the waffles in place on the webs. I'll request photos from Paul and the body shop to post.
The plastic waffles of the RC90 lock into place.
How's the Lincoln hub project coming along?

Kevin, thank you for the heads up on installing the waffles and tightening the set screws, I was not aware of this. The car is still at the body shop and I'm hoping Paul has made them aware of this. Re: BBS RC090 finish selection opinion
Thank you everyone for your input. Going with BMW roundels, BBS valve stems and silver as shown in the photo. The wheel in the photo is not of my wheel, however, mine will look like that with a BMW roundel. I'm a visual individual and find it much simpler to state "that's what I want" once...
