Looking to rebuild the bases, or really as much as I can/need to of my manual sports seats, Euro 85 M635csi LHD. The leather and cushions are all new but they are pretty sloppy mechanically with a lot of unnecessary movement, the driver's seat is somehow slightly twisted off-center so when driving I am angled horizontally to the right enough that it's annoying. Being 6'4" tall there is not much space regardless. I'm trying to understand what parts I would need and am confused about the inner/outer, left/right rails and which is needed for which seat.
Looking at realoem, https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showpa ... Id=52_0130
Am I correct in thinking I would need the following rails?
Drivers Seat
1 Outer Left
1 Inner Left.
Passenger Seat
1 Outer Right
1 Inner Right
Or is it like this?
Drivers Seat
1 Outer Left
1 Outer Right
1 Inner Left
1 Inner Right
Passenger Seat
1 Outer Left
1 Outer Right
1 Inner Left
1 Inner Right
Is there a more effective way instead of replacing the parts to tighten up the seats? In looking at them, there is nothing cracked or broken that could be welded that I am seeing so far. Headed to Sharkfest in April with my 12yo son and its about a 300 mile drive for us so I want to make sure its safe, and comfortable.

Re: Sport Seat Rails
You can try to see if Elias Gergy thru face book has frames in good shape.

Re: Sport Seat Rails
I'm fine with buying new as they are available, but not sure what I need to buy based off Realoem from my question in the post.

Re: Sport Seat Rails
Make absolutely sure that you are buying the parts you need.
Manual Sport Seats are different from Powered Sport Seats.
Unfortunately frame cracks are usually hidden. I just disassembled a seat I thought was good. Turned out both upper and lower frames were welded. And it wasn't done well as one repair was at the Hinge pin. Good luck
