UK M635 #377

Post by Hammerhead »

This Alpina Blue M635 looks utterly fabulous.

For such a unique example it doesn't seem overpriced in today's market – as long as there's no rust of course!

Is this the only factory Alpina Blue E24 in RHD? There can't have been many.

I only wish I could afford it!

For a ML car, it appears to be underpriced! Especially with that mileage etc. I wonder what can be wrong with it - or is the vendor desperate to get some cash in to pay for Christmas?

Interesting color. Wish there were pictures of the blue leather interior.

Yes, it IS the only factory RHD car in Alpina Blue (087).

More pictures, including interior, here....

I agree that it seems to be priced lower than I would have expected.

MOT History suggests the car is consistently kept in good order, but has barely been driven for many years.
I've some old photos of this car, which looks to have undergone a MAJOR body restoration in 2009/10. Completely new front-end (from bulkhead onwards!), floor sections, replacement metal on pretty much the entire driver's side below the window line, and most of the rear-end behind the rear bulkhead.

Crikey, I was thinking how original it looked!

I assume all that structural work was done with the car on a jig.

There was one other Alpina Blue UK M: #379 - perhaps painted at the same tme.

#379 is Acacia green I believe...

And the registration number is the same, so this car in question is definitely 377.

As for the use of a jig, I haven't seen any evidence of that. Axle stands, yes. Jig, nope.

Wow, it must have been very rusty to require all that new metal!

Re. 379, I took the info from the copy of the UK M Data document that I have, but it could be out of date and has since been corrected.

That’s not rust. Just severe collision damage IMO. The car was probably written off, sold on, then repaired. It probably has an insurance
marker - or should have!
