Headlight Aim Control - Interior Holder Bracket

Post by TimU »

Hi all,
Could someone help me figure out how the light bulbs go back into this thing please?

I pulled the Headlight Aim Control cover out to repair the cracked plastic, but I can't figure out how the light bulbs go back in.

There are no obvious mounting points for the light globes, either on the black holder or the gold frame.

Here is my repair job, if anyone is interested.
Headlight aim control holder (Black) (Part #63121371800 No Longer Available)

I think yo are missing a bit. From memory, the front facia with the details on has mouldings for the bulb holders to push into, the whole thing then (loosely !) pushes back into the facia aperture.

Working from memory here...so others might be more in the know !!

Thanks Bob, you're right, I am missing a bit.
I have the fascia part with the orange diffuser, but it doesn't have the white backing plate with the bulb-holder tubes.

I have these bits:

Don't have this bit:
The white backing plate with the tubular bulb holders.
I'll try and figure out a way to build one...

For my future reference, the bulb tubes need to be 8mm wide x 25mm deep.

Dunno, haven't really tested it yet.
However I don't hold high expectations, reading through previous posts on the topic.
