R-134a vs R-12 O rings (green or black)?

Post by KINGJOHN808 »

Aloha!

I had my original ac compressor rebuilt by Jay. He rebuilt it using new parts and O rings (green in color) for r-134a. I ordered replacement lines from Germany that came with all new O rings (black in color). I mean a bunch of o rings, multiple sizes and diameters but all black in color.

Are the o rings specific and identifiable by color or some other method? I don’t want to take apart the entire system, clean it out while replacing needed parts only to find out I put in the wrong fittings/o rings.

Mahalo’z for any help or advice on where to purchase a complete and verifiable o ring kit (r-134a) for an original 1984 633CSi.
