AC fitting type

Post by Jlc »

I think this is the high pressure AC fitting on my 85; I was wondering if you can tell if it is an R12 or 134a fitting. Seems tight against the overflow tank.

Unscrew the red plastic cover and it should reveal quick disconnect fitting used for R134. The cover will have threads that enter the center of the port as opposed to R12 which has cover threads outside like a tire valve
