FYI: Found a compatible Distributor series I

Post by LandShark »

My old distributor:
0 237 302 001
PGFUD6

NOS found on eBay:
0 237 304 002
PGFU6

I just had to take it apart a little bit and swap around the plastic connectors to make it fit like before. The new one works great. I swapped out dizzies because the timing light showed the ball wiggling around too much. Now I have a smoother idle, etc.
Karmann, German for extra rusty.

I see 3 P-car distributors on eBay at $600+, 2 with electronic ignition parts. A little steep for me

Quick search on eBay for the part number (PGFU6) quoted by OP. Porsche parts but I can see them being interchangeable. I have several BMW Bosch distributors so I was interested in the information
