You know the way that the front top nut holding the rear shock assembly always falls down in front of the tower when you're trying to lift it out after undoing it.................
This worked a treat

Cool! I've had to change to reading glasses to see anything close up of late - they usually drop off the end of my nose into the bowels of the engine bay too!

I'm the opposite - great short range vision but crap at more than three feet! I keep taking off my glasses when I need to do something up close, then forget where I put them

coming to a cinema near you, a new drama with a happy ending;
'Poddy Magnetfingers'.....
BTW an application of blu-tac to a digit can also work well for such tasks, and of course picks up things that are non-magnetic (eg stainless steel parts) too.
cheers

I'm thinking about sewing some neodymium magnets to my gloves. One behind the wrist and one small one on the middle finger. Might just work. It will give me a chance to see how the sewing machine works, otherwise a dab of silicone adhesive.
