New part NLA - resumption of production - kind request

Post by Kamil »

Hi,

I have been looking for some time for a right rear panel for a late CS/1, part number 41351942056. CS/2 part 41351959102 will also fit. Unfortunately these parts are no longer available as new.
I have contacted the BMW Classic Group in Munich and I am supposed to have an answer in a couple of weeks whether they will resume production.
I once heard that a higher number of enquiries for a part increases the likelihood of resumption of production.
Therefore, I would like to ask you to send an email enquiry to your local dealer, asking if part number 41351942056 or 41351959102 is available, and if not, if and when production is planned to resume.
By the way, this will be a good test as to whether increased enquiries will actually have any effect.

Hi Kamil - Here in the US, BMW told us very similar things about e9 parts. I have a friend in Atlanta who waited three years for a set of headlight grills, and finally gave up. Perhaps things are better in Europe.
